Richard J. Salt

Richard J. SaltSt. Anne's Church, Richmond, QuebecArchdeacon Richard Salt is a nominee for Bishop of Huron in the election to be held October 25. He is Archdeacon of Kent/Lambton and has been Rector of Trinity Church, Sarnia, Ontario since 1991.

Richard Salt graduated from Bishop's University, Lennoxville, Quebec in 1971 with a B.A. in Economics. He then took Private Studies in Theology with the late Dr. R.L. Slater.

Archdeacon Salt was ordained deacon on September 15, 1974 and priest on June 26, 1977. His first posting was as Incumbent of St. Clement’s Mission (Center), a three point parish located on Quebec's Lower North Shore. In 1986, he then became Rector of St. Anne's Church, Richmond, Quebec (shown right). He was there for 5 years before assuming his current position in Sarnia.
