Kimberly Dawn Van Allen

Grace Church, Ilderton, OntarioKimberly Dawn Van AllenRev. Canon Kim Van Allen is nominated for Bishop of Huron.   She is presently Rector of All Saints' Church, Windsor, Ontario.   The electoral synod will be held on October 25, 2008 at St Paul's Cathedral.

Canon Kim Van Allen was raised in Kitchener and London, Ontario.   She graduated from University of Western Ontario in 1981 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.   She then worked for 15 years for Bell Canada becoming Manager, Network Provisioning, managing a budget larger than that of the Diocese of Huron.

In 1997, she received a Master of Divinity degree from Huron University College. She was ordained deacon on May 15, 1997 and a priest on November 27, 1997.   Her first appointment was as Assistant Curate, New St. Paul's Church, Woodstock (now called the Church of the Epiphany).   From February 2000 to February 2004, she was rector of St. George's, Middlesex Centre & Grace Church, Ilderton (shown right).   In February 2004, she became Rector of the Church of St. Alban the Martyr, London, Ontario and in November 2007, assumed her current position at All Saints'.
