St. Paul's Anglican, Kerwood, Ontario
The village of Kerwood, Ontario is located west of Strathroy on the London to Sarnia CN rail line.St. Paul's, Kerwood was founded in 1880 when Rev. Edward Softley in co-operation with Mr. Isaac Blain, Mr. Wm. Richardson, Mr. Henry Freer and Mr. Charles Matthews started a campaign to obtain subscriptions to finance a church building. The cornerstone of the church was laid July 21, 1881 and was opened for services later that year on October 2.
St. Paul's, Kerwood is now in a 2-point parish with Trinity, Watford. Last Sunday March 25, the Rev. Tom Anderson was inducted as rector with Archdeacon Richard Salt of Trinity Church, Sarnia inducting Rev. Anderson on behalf of the bishop.

Wyoming and Petrolia, Ontario
The Rev’d Nancy Adams will be inducted as rector of St. John’s, Wyoming and Christ Church, Petrolia on Sunday, April 29 at 4 p.m. Nancy will be inducted by Archdeacon Richard Salt on behalf of the bishop. The preacher will be The Rev’d Allan Livingstone. All are welcome.The original Christ Church caught fire in 1957 with only the tower and chime being saved. The chime of 11 bells cast by Meneely & Co. of West Troy, New York in 1909 was salvaged, and installed in the new church tower in 1958.
Petrolia is often credited with starting the world oil industry. In the 19th century oil was first discovered in nearby Oil Springs, a few kilometers down the road, but the boom was in Petrolia. Oil fields in the area are still pumping there to this day.

Christ Church, Chatham, Ontario
As a continuing congregation, Christ Church is one of the oldest places of worship in the Diocese of Huron. It began as St Paul's Church in 1819 and until the Methodists built in 1843 and the Roman Catholics in 1844, it was the only church in Chatham. The first resident clergyman came in 1827 who was succeeded in 1836 by Thomas Brock Fuller who later would become Bishop of Niagara. The first clergy also acted as travelling missionaries to the surrounding area.The current building was constructed in 1861 and its name was changed to Christ Church. The old building was destroyed by fire 8 years later. The current St Paul's Church in Chatham was built in 1956 named after Chatham's first church.

Huron Our Story DVD
A 30-minute DVD has been produced as part of the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the Diocese of Huron and its first bishop, Benjamin Cronyn of London.
Rev Nick Wells of Christ Church, Corunna was the Diocesan representative charged with oversight of the project, and portrays Benjamin Cronyn in the DVD. Rev Greg Little of the Parish of St. James Parkhill with St. Mary's, Brinsley plays Bishop John Strachan of Toronto. There is a cast of about 50.
The $19,000 DVD was supported by the Mildred Grimes trust at Exeter's Trivitt Memorial church and three of Cronyn's direct descendants, who helped the project in memory of their parents, the late Barbara and John Cronyn of London. The DVD costs $10 and is available through local Anglican churches and the Diocese of Huron office, 190 Queens Ave, London 519-434-6893.
