St. George's, Sarnia, Ontario
Earlier this year St. George's Anglican Church held a ground breaking ceremony for a link between the main church building and the Parish Hall. The link will be in keeping with the existing architectural features and make the buildings accessible to all. Within the new extension a barrier free washroom will be constructed.Construction of the current St. George's Church began in 1883, and was competed in 1884. The new link is expected to cost about 3 times as much as the original church cost of $19,752.57. A bequest of a parishioner will cover a large part of the cost of the new construction.
