Trinity Church, Port Burwell

Adele MilesTrinity Church, Port Burwell, OntarioThe Rev Adele Miles will be inducted as incumbent of Trinity Church, Aylmer and incumbent of Trinity Church, Port Burwell and St. Luke's, Vienna on Thursday June 7 at 7 p.m. at Trinity Church in Aylmer. The Ven. Ken Anderson, Rector of St. Mark’s Church, Brantford and Archdeacon of Brant/Norfolk/Oxford, will be officiating on behalf of the bishop. Clergy are welcome to vest the colour being green. The service will be preceded by a pot luck supper beginning at 5pm in the church hall, Aylmer.

Trinity Church, Port Burwell is one of the Talbot Settlement Churches with its first service conducted February 22, 1836. The church remained in its original form until 1909 when it was re-seated, reglazed, re-shingled and redecorated. In 1978, the spire was demolished during a severe storm. The replacement spire is shorter than the original.
