Trinity Anglican, Bayfield, OntarioThe Rev Mona Goulette, rector of Trinity, Bayfield and St James, Middleton is resigning the parish effective April 30. Rev Goulette was inducted rector last June, she plans to do post graduate study.

The Bayfield parish began in 1849 and construction of the church building began in 1855 from local bricks. Its first rector, Reverend Robert Campbell, had been the first Anglican Missionary in the Huron Tract. Arriving in 1834 from England and based in Goderich he travelled throughout the area including Bayfield. For many years church services were held in a log school house built in 1836.

One of the churches major fund-raisers is the Antiques Fair held at the Bluewater Bayfield Complex each August.
