St James, Stratford, Ontario
This Sunday Sept. 24 beginning at 3 p.m. there will be a dedication of the newly renovated chancel and organ open to all members of the public. Parishioner Harry Yeandle left the church a large bequest from his estate. It allowed the church, constructed in 1870, to make $200,000 in enhancements including lengthening the chancel and replacing the organ console. $95,000 went to renovating the organ which is now a mix of old-world pipe and new-world digital technology.
